Meet the artist
Dr. Hong-Ling Wee is a scientist-turned-ceramicist. Her work focuses on looking homeward to find extraordinariness in the ordinary. With past installations ranging from 200 to 2000 sq. feet, Hong-Ling has successfully brought many ideas of various scale to completion. She has exhibited in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Korea, China and Singapore.
Hong-Ling’s work has been featured in numerous international publications and her ceramics are in the permanent public collections of the National Gallery (Singapore), the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park (Japan), the Fule International Ceramic Art Museum (China) and the Guangxi National Art Center (China).
Among her accolades is an award of Outstanding Achievement and Contribution to Community Empowerment from the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York City.
